hello from berlin

Travel. Today starts our third day in Berlin. So far we have seen some of the essential things in this special city.

We had a famous Currywurst - at Konnopke's Imbiss

Walked around our neighbourhood - Prenzlauer Berg

Took a look of the "Jüdisches Museum" - unfortunately only from the outside...

because of....

this...

Tried to imagine the city divided into East and West - here is a part where the original part of the wall is still standing - near Chekpoint Charlie

Spent some time in the stunning "Neues Museum"

Admired once more Mies van der Rohe's architecture - here at "Neue Nationalgalerie"

Now I have to get ready -  today I will try to get into the Jewish Museum - wish me luck :)

ahoi

On to new adventures! When I was 13 years old, my family and I moved from Switzerland to Austria because of my father's work. Today - 13 years later - he will return to Switzerland. But before that he will be traveling on a container ship for about 2 weeks. Apart from him there is only one other (non working) passenger on the ship, so it may get boring from time to time. That's why I bought the book and if it gets even more boring - a rum - very seamanlike :)

dinner in the museum

Vienna. The Museum of Fine Arts is one of my favorite buildings in Vienna. Yesterday we had a gourmet dinner in its domed hall (it takes place every thursday). Between the meals you can stroll thrue the museum and return back to your table whenever you want. We even had a very special opportunity: We were allowed to go on the roof of the museum. Quite an experience. Next thing to do: Buy an annual ticket for the museum!

re(a)dy for autumn

Red. I decided to buy another bag from The Cambridge Satchel Company. This time I opted for a music bag in a classic red. I'm really happy with it. The first time I ordered my bag from there, the brand wasn't as popular as it is nowadays and they really improved: I only had to wait for about 3 weeks to get my customized bag, I got a dust bag with it and their embossing is "stronger" - in my first bag the letters were stamped - now they are somehow cut out of the leather. Matching my red bag I bought some nail polish from Essie. It's still very summerly in Vienna (there will be 29 C° today), but autumn is just around the corner, which is the perfect season to wear red from my point of view.

Essie shades: Really Red, Head Mistress, Eternal Optimist
